Kālidāsa was a Classical Sanskrit writer, widely regarded as the greatest poet and dramatist in the Sanskrit language. And Meghadutam, a poem of 111 stanzas, is one of his most famous works.

Meghadutam tells the tale of a man who has been exiled for neglecting his duties. Thus, separated from his beloved wife, he longs to send her word of his undying love and the pain he suffers over their parting. Unable to do so himself, the man implores a passing cloud to act as his messenger. The cloud travels a long distance to reach the Himalayas, where the man's wife waits for his love.

A organic celebration of love through poetry music and dance the play  Meghadutam will be performed by Raju Bera and Prasad Cherkady.
