Eugenio Barba will be given the
title Doctor Honoris Causa of Babes-Bolyai University,
Cluj-Napoca. The Doctor Honoris Causa will be presented to
him by Prof. Liviu Malita, Dean of the Faculty of Theatre and
Television, University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Eugenio Barba has previously been awarded honorary doctorates
from the Universities of Århus, Ayacucho, Bologna, Havana, Warsaw,
Plymouth, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, Tallinn as well as the
"Reconnaissance de mérite scientifique" from the University of
Montreal and the Sonning Prize from
the University of Copenhagen.
